Why the sink keeps getting further away! =)

This picture was actually taken a week and a half ago. I am currently 26 weeks along and everything seems to be going very well so far! There is only one problem though. Every time I go to do the dishes, the sink keeps getting farther away! =) Maybe I need a maid! All joking aside, I love this little bundle that sometimes gets in my way and can't wait to meet her!

Jet Lag

It's already Tuesday and I still feel like I have jet lag from this past weekend. Friday I spent ALL day baking goodies for all the parties we were to attend. I made Candy Can Cookies, Chocolate Cherry Fudge, Chocolate Truffle Pie, and Oreo and Mint Ice Cream Dessert with Hot Fudge on top. Some were easy, some harder than expected, but I got them all done anyway. Friday evening we had our first party which was for the kids at Ron's work. It wasn't near as fun as last year's party, but it was OK. Then Saturday I was supposed to go help with the Christmas Program practice at church, but thought I would spend the morning with my boys instead, which I am glad I did! Then I had a cookie exchange to go to from 1 to 4. That was very nice to just sit and talk and eat goodies and relax. I had to rush home from there and we had another party to go to at 4:30 at a guy's house who Ron works with. We only spend an hour and a half there because we had yet ANOTHER party to go to at 7:00. This was our Sunday School Class party and it was so much fun. We ate and played games and exchanged gifts and just had a let-down-your-hair, fun, crazy time together! Let me tell you, I was pretty tired when I fell into bed that night! Sunday Ron had duty all day so I was on my own taking care of Aaron and going to church. I hate it when he has duty on Sundays, but it's sure better than on Christmas Day! The kids Christmas Program was on Sunday night and they did a wonderful job. Then we had all sorts of food and goodies afterwards along with some fellowship with the families of the kids in the Program. We managed just fine, but as I said am still kind of feeling the affects of the busyness! Yesterday and today we've been trying to make final preparations for Christmas and that has continued to keep me busy. Maybe I'll be able to rest on Christmas Day!!! =) As they say, "Tis the season!" Sorry no pictures from the weekend. I'll try to post some pictures soon! Hope everyone else is enjoying this festive time of year!

God's little times of encouragement

I have to explain the details behind this particular incident. Last week Aaron was one sick little man. It all started on Monday and lasted pretty much all week long. He would not keep anything down. He'd throw up even the smallest amounts of anything. By Wednesday I was just focusing on fluids and resorted to giving him tiny little drinks from an eye dropper. This trick seemed to work, but was still somewhat of a battle the rest of the week. The beginning of this week he started having the runs (a nicer term for those goings on I think). By Tuesday of this week I was just plain tired of cleaning up after messes and trying everything possible to get this kid to feeling better. Now, for this little ray of encouragement that God blessed my heart with. I was in the living room folding laundry and Aaron was on the floor playing with his "tata head" stuff minding his own business. This suitcase full of stuff had a pair of orange bare feet. Aaron started playing with them and, much to my surprise, started saying "this piggy went to market, this piggy went to market, this piggy stay home". He just kept repeating that and all I could do was sit there and smile (probably the first one to cross my face in a week and a half). I thought that was so cute and I think I may have even chuckled too! I had to stop right then and there and say a silent little thank you to the Lord for little incidents like this help lift my spirits!
