And then there were four!

Millers that is. Yep, I found out a couple days ago that I truly am expecting our #2!!! I was going to wait until I had an ultrasound picture to put on here with the announcement, but the way news travels I thought I'd just post the news anyway. I think I'm only about 3 1/2 weeks along so still very early, but Lord willing, all will go well and this baby will grow to be strong and healthy! I'll definitely keep you updated as we go along!

VBS Fun!

We had a great time at VBS last week. It was a great week with a great turn out of kids. The theme, as you can see, was "Take the Plunge" or a beach/water park theme which was so much fun decorating for! The posters you see were traced first and then handpainted by yours truly and a couple other people who helped. They took WAY longer to paint than anticipated, but were well worth it!

In the first picture, Aaron was helping us decorate. He absolutely loved the colorful intertubes! The following pictures are of some of our decorations.

The best picture of all of our kids in our opening assembly. We were separated into 3 groups, Beginners (which I helped out in), Primaries, and Juniors. In the Beginners and Primaries we averaged 30 kids every night and the Juniors averaged 15 or so, truly a blessing and answer to prayer!

The beginners singing some songs before the Bible story.

Intently listening to the Bible story.

Snack time!
Our little Beginners group.

Again, we had a wonderful week, but the best part is that 3 little boys got saved! That made all the tiring hours and late nights worth it!
Then we had a Family Fun Day on Saturday for the kids and their parents. It was so much fun! They had tractor trailer rides, a jumping house, horse rides, a dunking booth, and pizza for everyone to follow! The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves and I think the parents did too!

Blogging Vacation

I'm sorry I haven't posted anything lately. I've been really busy at church getting ready for our Vacation Bible School this week. This week is going to be even busier than last week, but if I get a chance I will try to post some pictures of Aaron this week. I'll post VBS pictures next week after things have died down a little! Hope everyone else has a great week!

Happy Birthday to my dear friend!

Ok, so it's not the best pictures of either of us, but it'll have to do. Tia and I have one of those friendships that truly was meant to be. We became good friends in just a short time and loved spending time together. She ALWAYS made me laugh! If I was having a bad day or was in a bad mood I would just call up Tia and I'd be smiling and laughing in no time! Sadly we've had to move apart since then, but am sure if we were able to live closer we'd pick up right where we left off. So, Happy Birthday Tia! I miss you and hope to see you again sometime in the near future! Have a wonderful birthday! Love ya!

Happy 4th of July!

And, Happy Birthday America!

I am so thankful to live in this great country - the "Land of the Free" and "Home of the Brave"! I'm also proud of my husband, one of the brave, for sacrificially serving our wonderful country!

Hope you all have a wonderful 4th of July!

Counting our blessings and milestones

As we turned the calendar page to July Ron and I noticed there were a lot of milestones in the last part of June and first part of July. I think it's great to look back and see God's provision and blessings in our lives.

June 15th - one year since Ron's laser eye surgery (the surgery went perfectly and he's still seeing 20/20 because of this)

June 24th - Ron's 11 year mark in the Marine Corp. (a job he still loves despite some of the negative aspects that go along with military life)

June 27th - two years of owning a house (God's provision)

June 30th - we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary (how we made it this far I'll never know, he he, just kidding! God brought us together and we're as much in love today as we were six years ago)

July 1st - marks three years we've been attending Charity Baptist Church (we absolutely love this church and know the Lord put us here for a reason; it's going to be very hard to leave when that time comes, but know the Lord will see us through)

God is so good!
