I got this beautiful Thomas Kinkade Cuckoo Clock for my birthday from my Mom. As I was putting it together Ron asked if it really "coo coo'd" and I said, "yes, a bird really comes out and coo coos". Aaron overheard me and said serious as he could be, "The bird comes out and poo poos?" I laughed and laughed!!!! Now, every hour when the bird comes out, I ask him what the bird is doing and he says, "He's going poo poos"! Just thought you might need a chuckle today!

A quick trip to Busch Gardens
Two weekends ago we took a trip over to Tampa, Florida to see my Dad and step-mom Kris who were tending to her mother who was very ill. While we were there we thought we'd take the opportunity to go to Busch Gardens. We weren't sure how Aaron would do and thought he'd get tired and bored. Little did we know. He absolutely loved EVERYTHING! The animals, the train ride around the park, watching the roller coasters - literally everything! And I think the funnest part for us was watching him be so excited all day long. My Dad was able to go with us and I think he enjoyed watching Aaron too. Aaron's favorite things were the Hippos, the alligators, and the birds.

This turtle was totally cracking me up. I'm really not sure what he was doing. It wasn't the sunniest of days so it's not like he was sun bathing. Maybe he was drying off his belly. Who knows. Just a funny picture!
Aaron got a kick out of the birds. At first he wasn't too sure about them, but then he thought that was the neatest thing to feed them. One of the birds got a little jealous and bit Aaron's finger. It took him a minute to figure out what in the world happened, but then he started crying like it bit his finger off! It did make a mark so it must have bit pretty hard and I'm sure it did hurt. He was OK after a minute or so and went back to feeding them!

What happens while you're blogging?
This incident was actually a week or so ago. I was on the computer blogging and Ron was in the living room watching TV. It was so quiet (we all know that's not a good sign) that I thought he had put Aaron down for a nap. A few minutes later Ron came and asked if I knew where Aaron was and I told him I thought he was sleeping. Ron went into our pantry and found this. Aaron's new thing is getting his garbage can and turning it upside down in order to get taller than what a simple stool would get him. If you look closer in the second picture, yes, those are cupcake sprinkles ALL over the floor. I could only stand there and laugh because it was our fault for not watching him closer. He must have been in there just eating them, and I'm sure enjoying them very much, and when he heard Ron coming he panicked and dropped the container and they spilled all over the place. We got it cleaned up, but lesson learned for Mom and Dad on that one!

Changes during Christmas vacation
The first change is that we bought a new car. One of the guys that Ron works with is having their third child and decided they were going to bite the bullet and get a mini van so they needed to sell their car. They had a "too good to be true" price on it, which is about half of what Blue Book quoted and so we couldn't pass it up. Ron's little red car has been such a good one, but I fear that it's on it's last leg so it was definitely time for an upgrade and a four door for convenience sake. It is a 2004 Honda Accord with leather interior and all the bells and whistles that go along with it. We are truly blessed! Now we are going to try to sell Ron's little red car so we'll see how that goes. I'm almost sad to get rid of it because of all the memories we've had in that little car, but so happy at the same time considering how old it is and all the things that it has seen! Anyway, here's our newest addition!

The other change during this Christmas break is that Ron decided he wasn't going to shave the entire two weeks. It was quite a change for sure, but now it's back to "normal" where he shaves every day and gets a haircut once a week. I'm actually surprised at the incredible transformation that has happened. I think he almost looks like a completely different person in these two pictures! Just thought I'd share them with you!Posted by Janelle at 10:12 PM 5 comments
Aaron's Christmas
As you can see, Aaron had a wonderful Christmas! He was "very blessed" by his grandparents and aunts and uncles. Thank you again for all the wonderful gifts, Nana and Papa, Grandpa and Grandma, Great Grandpa and Great Grandma, and Aunts and Uncles!
Nana found this shirt for Aaron and I think it is so adorable and so funny at the same time! Aaron calls it Daddy's suit. So cute!

Overall we had a very good Christmas. It was kinda quiet, but sometimes there's nothing wrong with that. We missed our families, but had a wonderful time just the three and a half of us! =) Aaron was much more fun to watch this Christmas. He had some great reactions to his presents! I'm sure next year will be even better!
