Who needs expensive toys anyway?

What in the world is that, you ask? It's an hour's worth of fun a.k.a. a tied up plastic bag! This is what I do with all my plastic bags to save room in the bag they are stored in, plus it makes it easier to grab when I need one. This particular bag is a VERY large one from Bed, Bath, and Beyond and I tied it up like this and threw it at Aaron. It was game on after that! We threw it back and forth and kicked it around for at least 45 minutes! It was great fun and a little exercise for both of us too! Aaron would run away squealing when I would tell him I'm going to get him! I was laughing so hard and amazed at how much fun you can have with the simplest things!

Another fun thing that kids love to play with is bubble wrap. Lay it on the floor and have them stomp all the bubbles out! They'll love it and be kept busy for at least a little while! Here's to quality time with your kids!

Ready and waiting

We are ready and waiting for this big bump in my lap to POP! =) Megan's Nana and Papa were so generous in giving us this gorgeous bedding, the adorable car seat, and the lovely dresser at the end!!! I absolutely LOVE all of it! As you can see we're going with a brown and pink theme for our little girl. The crib is set up, the car seat is ready, her dresser is ALMOST filled to the brim - the only thing missing now is MEGAN!!! She'll be along soon enough though! Thought I'd share the things God has truly blessed us with, before the REAL little blessing gets here!

34 weeks and going strong!

I simply can't believe how fast the time has gone. I guess you could say the countdown is on now! Ron keeps asking me if I'm sure there's not two babies in there so I must be growing! Some days I do feel like a whale, but for the most part everything is A-OK! Won't be long now!

An Aaron Funny!

I got this beautiful Thomas Kinkade Cuckoo Clock for my birthday from my Mom. As I was putting it together Ron asked if it really "coo coo'd" and I said, "yes, a bird really comes out and coo coos". Aaron overheard me and said serious as he could be, "The bird comes out and poo poos?" I laughed and laughed!!!! Now, every hour when the bird comes out, I ask him what the bird is doing and he says, "He's going poo poos"! Just thought you might need a chuckle today!

A quick trip to Busch Gardens

Two weekends ago we took a trip over to Tampa, Florida to see my Dad and step-mom Kris who were tending to her mother who was very ill. While we were there we thought we'd take the opportunity to go to Busch Gardens. We weren't sure how Aaron would do and thought he'd get tired and bored. Little did we know. He absolutely loved EVERYTHING! The animals, the train ride around the park, watching the roller coasters - literally everything! And I think the funnest part for us was watching him be so excited all day long. My Dad was able to go with us and I think he enjoyed watching Aaron too. Aaron's favorite things were the Hippos, the alligators, and the birds.

This turtle was totally cracking me up. I'm really not sure what he was doing. It wasn't the sunniest of days so it's not like he was sun bathing. Maybe he was drying off his belly. Who knows. Just a funny picture!

Aaron got a kick out of the birds. At first he wasn't too sure about them, but then he thought that was the neatest thing to feed them. One of the birds got a little jealous and bit Aaron's finger. It took him a minute to figure out what in the world happened, but then he started crying like it bit his finger off! It did make a mark so it must have bit pretty hard and I'm sure it did hurt. He was OK after a minute or so and went back to feeding them!

He also got to play in the wading pool they had in a little mini park for kids. We could have stayed in this part of the park all day long if Aaron had anything to say about it! Pardon the nakedness and Elmo underwear! =) He'll probably hate me for this picture one day!

We left the hippos for the end and he had the best reaction when he saw them! Ron's nickname for Aaron is actually "hippo" (because when he was a baby he would open his mouth wide for no apparent reason) so he knew exactly what they were all about and loved seeing them!

Got to see Grandpa and Grandma Kris who he hadn't seen in nearly a year!

Overall we had a wonderful weekend and would do it again in a heartbeat!
