Two weekends ago we took a trip over to Tampa, Florida to see my Dad and step-mom Kris who were tending to her mother who was very ill. While we were there we thought we'd take the opportunity to go to Busch Gardens. We weren't sure how Aaron would do and thought he'd get tired and bored. Little did we know. He absolutely loved EVERYTHING! The animals, the train ride around the park, watching the roller coasters - literally everything! And I think the funnest part for us was watching him be so excited all day long. My Dad was able to go with us and I think he enjoyed watching Aaron too. Aaron's favorite things were the Hippos, the alligators, and the birds.

This turtle was totally cracking me up. I'm really not sure what he was doing. It wasn't the sunniest of days so it's not like he was sun bathing. Maybe he was drying off his belly. Who knows. Just a funny picture!
Aaron got a kick out of the birds. At first he wasn't too sure about them, but then he thought that was the neatest thing to feed them. One of the birds got a little jealous and bit Aaron's finger. It took him a minute to figure out what in the world happened, but then he started crying like it bit his finger off! It did make a mark so it must have bit pretty hard and I'm sure it did hurt. He was OK after a minute or so and went back to feeding them!

OH, how fun. And that picture of the turtle really cracked me up, too!
Oh my goodness!! I LOVE the hippos!! It looks like we're going to have to make another trip to Florida so I (I mean the kids!) can see the hippos!!
Sounds like you all had a great time. I'm glad you got to see your dad again. That's always fun.
How have you been feeling? Still plugging along I would imagine.
Ruth,
I couldn't resist taking a picture of that turtle! I still can't figure out what he was up to. I sat there and watched him for a few minutes and he never moved a muscle. Guess we'll never know! Was good for a laugh anyway! =)
Amy,
Yes, the hippos were very fun to watch! In the second picture Aaron is actually demonstrating what a hippo does (opening his mouth as wide as he can)! Would have been great if one of them would have done that in front of him! He probably would have flipped out in excitement! Also, there's another Busch Gardens in Virginia that you may be closer to. I think it has a little bit of a different theme other than safari, but I'm sure it's similar. The main reason we went, other than the fact that we were RIGHT THERE, was because we were able to get in for free with Ron being in the military. I'm not sure if we could have done it otherwise. That's why we haven't been to Disney World either. I just can't see myself paying the price they want for some memories, when you can make at least almost as fun ones for a MUCH better price!
Anyway, I'm feeling great, other than the occassional annoying cold! And, yes, still just plugging along and hangin' out, WAY out! =) I can't believe how fast time has gone. I've tried to savor and enjoy every moment of this pregnancy, but it still has gone by quickly. Only about 8 weeks to go now. Is that crazy or what?!!! Thanks for asking!
Looks like a lot of fun!
Can't wait till this summer for Sea World! They all will be so much fun.
