Aaron's Birthday - a little late

Aaron's birthday was very different this year. It was March 22nd, 3 days after our little Megan was born. I kept debating on just what to do for his birthday and ended up waiting too long to do anything too extravigant. We ended up going to Chucky Cheese (Aaron's first time ever) with two of his good friends Christian and Aspen. I think he had a great time even though it was impromptu - or maybe he was just happy to get cake!!! We also made cupcakes and took them to the nursery at church for all his friends there, which they loved! We then had our own little cake for just our little family here at home. I guess having three little "parties" made up for not having one big one, but then again maybe three parties is fitting for his 3rd birthday! I'm sure we'll do better next year, although we'll have a double whammy then!

Our LITTLE cake at home - it's only about 4 or 5 inches tall!!!

Looks like fun to me and I'm not even showing my boys those cupcakes - that would be all I would hear about for days!
I think I told you Congrats on little Megan but if not - I'm excited for you guys and that everyone is doing well.

It's good to see that you're still out there and surviving those first weeks of sleep deprivation! Happy Bday to your little guy! It sounds like you planned it to me- with 3 cakes and 3 celebrations to celebrate 3 years of life. Great job sleepy mommy!

Happy 3rd birthday, Aaron! Wow, can you believe he's 3 already? I think I'll be in denial when Chloe reaches that milestone.

Those chocolatey cakes look delicious! I am so impressed that you organized and made all those cakes while having a newborn at home!

Get your sleep, girl!

Thank you all for your birthday greetings!

Beth,
Actually there was a lot of thought about what to do, but everything that DID happen wasn't really part of any of my thinking, just kind of spur of the moment things that ended up turning out OK!

Alicia,
I can't take credit for anything but the frosting! The cake we had at Chucky Cheese we actually bought at Albertsons and the cupcakes and little cake (made from two cleaned out tuna cans) Ron actually made. The only thing I did was frost the cupcakes and little cake! I'm doing my best at getting my sleep, but with a three year old with amazing amounts of energy, sometimes it's hard. But God is good and I can at least rest on that promise! He's provided the energy that I need so far at least! ;)
