Bon Voyage!!!

We're leaving on a vacation, but not actually by a boat. It's a Dodge Durango! =) I'm writing this now because between now and when we leave all of my time is going to be spent packing and making sure I don't forget anything. We're going all the way to Wyoming, 2,000 some miles! Sometimes I wonder if we're crazy, but it's been so long since we've seen our families so that's some pretty big motivation. We're making a couple stops along the way so it shouldn't be too bad. We're leaving this coming Sunday morning and will be gone for 3 weeks, since it takes about 4 days to get there. I highly doubt that I'll be blogging while we're gone so I'm just letting everyone know about the LONG break from my blog. I'm sure I'll have LOTS of pictures when we get back so I'll keep you in suspense until then! Ta Ta For Now!!!!

Who's your hero?

Aaron probably hasn't ever heard the word before and definintely doesn't know the meaning, but I am positive that Aaron thinks his Daddy is his hero! I couldn't resist this picture and laughed outloud, but cried inside because I know that one day Aaron's "hero" is going to have to go away on deployment, unless the Lord wills it otherwise. I know it is going to be difficult on all of us, but God is gracious and He will bring us through somehow! Ron is my hero as well, but in different ways than for Aaron, obviously. He is such a great husband, father, provider, comforter, care giver, and so many more things. I am so very proud of him for his sacrificial giving to this family and to this great nation. Thank you my Love for all that you are to me and to Aaron! I guess this has kind of turned into an early birthday/tribute post. Ron's birthday is Oct. 6th and we're going to be on vacation during that time so I doubt I'll get a chance later to post anything. So, Happy Birthday Love! I love you!

Ok, maybe not so much, but Aaron sure does have fun playing with his plastic eggs! Dad helped him put them together like this to make a necklace! Just thought you'd enjoy some unusual Fall pictures of our crazy kid!

Trip to the Library

I am ashamed to say it, but this was actually Aaron's first trip to the Library, EVER, and you could definitely tell! We don't have a library that is very close to where we live, but Ron has started doing some college classes and needed to visit the library. Aaron loved the little area they had for the kids. They had little couches and chairs for the little ones and he would go get a book and flip through one or two pages and then flip the back cover over and say, "the end" and go put it back and bring a different one to his selected seat. I tried getting a picture of him reading, but he was just too quick. I was lucky enough to snap a picture of him rocking in one of their little rocking chairs! He definitely had more fun playing on all the stuffed animals they had there, as you can see! I thought it was so funny that he acted like the alligator was eating him! I tried to keep him as quiet as I could, but that didn't seem to work very well. Maybe I need to make more of an effort to get this poor library deprived child to a library where he can learn some library etiquette! I'm not much of a reader either so this may prove to be a little bit of a difficult task! Maybe we'll start out with Barnes and Noble or something like that! At least they have lattes there! Labor Day Fun!!!

We had a great Labor Day weekend. We went up to Stone Mountain in Atlanta, Georgia. It's a cute little amusement park with a railroad/mining theme. Aaron just loved it! We played mini golf, we rode the tram to the top of Stone Mountian, we rode the choo choo train, Aaron played with bubbles, we got an adorable characature, and at the end of the night we watched an awesome laser light show with some fireworks! Aaron absolutely LOVED the fireworks!!! And after that Aaron was simply exhausted! What a wonderful weekend we were able to spend together as a family! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
