Vacation Pictures Part 2

After our visit to the lovely St. Louis we were then on our way to Omaha, NE where my brother and sister-in-law live. They just got through building a house that is just amazing! I feel so stupid that I didn't get any pictures of it, other than what you see in these pictures. It was so good to see them again. Brooklynn and Carter are getting so big and are just a riot to watch and play with! JD and Heidi had to work during the day so we took advantage of their wonderful zoo. Aaron loved seeing all the animals. We didn't get much time there so we didn't get to see as many of them as we would have liked, but we still had a great time. Our time, as usual, was way too short and went way too fast, but we are so thankful to have been able to see them again! After two days there we were off again, so you'll have to stay tuned for those pictures!

Vacation Pictures Part 1 (of many)

We started out our LONG treck by first going to St. Louis (about a 12 hour drive). I found a great hotel there that actually had an indoor playground, a kiddy pool, a big pool, and a few arcade games for the older ones. Sorry I didn't get any pictures there. We were too busy having fun, which was quite nice after such a long days drive. Aaron did so good in the car and I thank the Lord for that!
The next day we played a little in the morning and then went downtown to see the sights. The Gateway Arch was pretty amazing. We even went to the top in one of those little pod things. The view was great.

This is actually Aaron putting his hand in the Mississippi River. At least he can say he's been in that big river!

Here's the view from the top. We were pretty far up there! There's the baseball stadium!

Back to the "daily grind"

Well, it's been a week and a half since we've gotten home from our vacation and I still haven't posted any pictures. I just wanted to let everyone know that we are indeed still alive and kicking and trying to get back into our daily routine after such a long absence. I promise I will do my best to get some pictures up here soon though! I must warn you though, there are a lot of them so I've got to pick and choose the best ones so I'm sure it will take more than one post. Anyway, for now I just wanted to say a little "hello" again to everyone and let you know I'll be posting soon!

Bon Voyage!!!

We're leaving on a vacation, but not actually by a boat. It's a Dodge Durango! =) I'm writing this now because between now and when we leave all of my time is going to be spent packing and making sure I don't forget anything. We're going all the way to Wyoming, 2,000 some miles! Sometimes I wonder if we're crazy, but it's been so long since we've seen our families so that's some pretty big motivation. We're making a couple stops along the way so it shouldn't be too bad. We're leaving this coming Sunday morning and will be gone for 3 weeks, since it takes about 4 days to get there. I highly doubt that I'll be blogging while we're gone so I'm just letting everyone know about the LONG break from my blog. I'm sure I'll have LOTS of pictures when we get back so I'll keep you in suspense until then! Ta Ta For Now!!!!

Who's your hero?

Aaron probably hasn't ever heard the word before and definintely doesn't know the meaning, but I am positive that Aaron thinks his Daddy is his hero! I couldn't resist this picture and laughed outloud, but cried inside because I know that one day Aaron's "hero" is going to have to go away on deployment, unless the Lord wills it otherwise. I know it is going to be difficult on all of us, but God is gracious and He will bring us through somehow! Ron is my hero as well, but in different ways than for Aaron, obviously. He is such a great husband, father, provider, comforter, care giver, and so many more things. I am so very proud of him for his sacrificial giving to this family and to this great nation. Thank you my Love for all that you are to me and to Aaron! I guess this has kind of turned into an early birthday/tribute post. Ron's birthday is Oct. 6th and we're going to be on vacation during that time so I doubt I'll get a chance later to post anything. So, Happy Birthday Love! I love you!

So, who is your hero?
